And So It Begins...

Hello. I'm Nicole. Welcome to this space.

I make no promises about what you will find here. I'm not sure if people even blog anymore, or read blogs for that matter. But Blogger still exists <surprise!> so here I am. 

WHY am I here? Well, I once had a different blog and shared much of what was on my mind there. I was able to connect to so many people I wouldn't have otherwise connected with because I had a space to be vulnerable, and vulnerability begets vulnerability. It's easy to think that everyone else has life more together than I do, but being able to share about infertility and other hard things brought people out of the woodwork who were dealing with the same things. I wasn't alone after all. 

I also just enjoyed writing. I feel out of practice with writing because I don't have an outlet for it. So I thought, "Why not try blogging again?" Maybe nobody will read it, and that's fine. I just want to be able to throw my thoughts into the wind and see what happens.

A little about me: 

- I'm a country girl living in the city - and feeling fairly conflicted about it

- I'm a pastor's daughter, turned pastor's wife, turned church reject/salesman's wife

- My husband and I have four kids, born 2010-2017

- We have dabbled in the social services/fostering world so you may hear a bit about that

- We're a homeschooling family who is trying out public school this year

- We have two dogs, one cat, and 25-ish fish/snails
